6 or12 WEEK PACKAGE

6 or 12 VISITS OVER 6 or12 WEEKS

VISIT 1

Pre-birth

Your newborninthecity midwife will visit in your home to run through last minute birth plans for mum and preparation for baby’s homecoming. This will include your feeding plans.

VISITS 2-6

These visits will be in response to, and led by you and your babies needs. This will predominantly involve feeding and settling whether you are breast feeding or formula feeding. You may be aware that your newborn has to learn so much in the first three weeks.

As parents you will be surprised by the intensity of these changes.  Rather than be overwhelmed ( even if your mum or nanny are helping) newborninthecity midwives will be your support and our visits will be practical. You will soon learn that you do know what to do for your newborn.  You will have the ongoing daily support via email/txt so every small or silly question can be answered.

You may also need guidance with essential baby basic skills, including winding, bathing, nail grooming sleep and going out with a newborn.

Lactation support will be a priority if you are breastfeeding.

Our midwives will take every opportunity to check on mums general wellbeing to ensure a smooth transition to parenting.

VISIT 7
Baby First Aid

The safety and the health of your newborninthecity is paramount. This visit both parents will be guided on how to recognise a sick baby, when to call the doctor or call an ambulance. You will be taught infant CPR

(and your family/nanny can also learn).

Your body has undergone a most spectacular transiton and under the influence of hormones most of us have never heard of , you have supported and given birth to a newborninthecity.
