BREASTFEEDING PACKAGE 4 visits
Many new mums really want to breastfeed. Newborninthecity™ ltd has found that our support, including antenatal 1:1 education, and early home visits to provide practical and positive guidance, significantly increase your success.
It is our most popular service.
All our midwives in the team have years of breastfeeding experience both personal and professional.
Teresa, newborninthecity™ ltd CEO is an
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

Your newborninthecity midwife will visit in your home when you are 37 weeks, to run through last minute birth plans for mum and preparation for baby’s homecoming. We understand that a positive birth and simple tips of what to look out for in the first hours and days will have a great impact on your breastfeeding experience.
VISIT 2- 4
These visits will be in response to, and led by you and your babies needs. This will predominantly involve feeding and settling. There may be circumstances by which plans will need to change. Your newborninthecity midwife will gently guide you along the journey.
You may be aware that your newborn also has much to learn in the first three weeks.
As parents you will be surprised by the intensity of these changes. Rather than be overwhelmed ( even if your mum or nanny are helping) newborninthecity midwives will be your support and our visits will be practical. You will soon learn that you do know what to do for your newborn. You will have the ongoing daily support via email/txt so every small or silly question can be answered.
You may also need guidance with essential baby basic skill. Including winding, bathing, nail grooming sleep and going out with a newborn.
Lactation/ Breastfeeding support will be a priority.
Our midwives will take every opportunity to check on mums general wellbeing to ensure a smooth transition to parenting.
Baby First Aid xtra visit- special rate.
